Youth and Age Combine to fight Climate Change

If only the very young or the very old campaigned for action on climate change they might be ignored. But when young students and 93 year old Sir David Attenborough combine to seek urgent action to save our society from long-term self-destruction it deserves a response.

Of course many of Earth’s inhabitants have died to extinction, so humans too. It may be an unpleasant and painful extinction. Some want to prevent. Some don’t.

If some believe that it is worth giving it a go why not? Life is not all that bad

Young people deserve to be heard. The best things that can happen to grandparents like me is to be led by our children and grandchildren adding experience and wisdom to energy and enthusiasm.

Political persuasion and strategy need to follow the student strike. Voters Network gives the best guidance on that www.voters.network . Join now. It is free.

Contact FairGO www.fairgo.org to become “Influencers of government”. The strike has given momentum but now a different strategy is required. Done properly politicians pay a lot of attention to young people.

We congratulate the youth of Australia and the world for urging us to act. We need to turn their initiative into a success
