Threats to kill don’t fix bad government
Millions of Aussies are justifiably angry about the many corrupt, incompetent, self-interested politicians who have been, bit by bit, for the last quarter century, stuffing up the government of our country, states and territories, for which so many Aussies are now suffering.
The traditional Australian Fair Go for housing, health services, education, safety, crime control , justice, emergency services, city and bush have been cast aside. Highest earners pay lowest taxes so services are substandard or non-existent.
Counter-productive
BUT Threats to harm, kill or blackmail our elected MPs, are totally unacceptable as well as counter-productive. They actually destroy democracy instead of improving it. They scare off the really good potential election candidates. MPs are our representatives, not necessarily our leaders. They are elected to do our bidding and they usually will if we explain what we want and why.
Ask and you will receive
If you don’t ask there is no chance of receiving.
The solution lies with the voters who have enormous influence, even individually. Votergrams, Voters Network and Voterlobby all enable individual Aussies to have their good ideas adopted by government. These facilities also allow any Aussie to get help on many personal issues, from the most powerful people in the country.
